Her most famous client may be Madonna, but the blinged-out look of custom $10,000 mink false lashes that makeup artist Gina Brooke created for the material girl is hardly representative of Gina's favored makeup look: understated glamour. It's no wonder that she's creative director of Shu Uemura, a brand that prides itself on the back to basics philosophy that "Beautiful Makeup Starts with Beautiful Skin."

Luscious lashes and flawless skin weren't always on Gina's mind, however - she attended FIT in hopes of working in fashion. In a twist of fate, though, a student asked her to do her makeup for her modeling portfolio.
